Trekkers are asked to stay off the high routes until Saturday afternoon.
The weather office has put Kullu and Mandi districts on a yellow alert for heavy rain on Friday.
The district administrations asked trekking agencies not to send groups onto the high routes until Saturday afternoon, and told drivers to expect slips on the Aut to Banjar road.
